In May 2026, our team at SAMPOCHEM visited PLMA’s World of Private Label in Amsterdam, one of the leading meeting points for the international private label industry. The event takes place at RAI Amsterdam on 19 and 20 May 2026.

For us, the fair focused on one central question:

How can private label food manufacturers improve product quality, shelf life, and process reliability while meeting the expectations of retailers and consumers for cleaner, more transparent ingredient solutions?

At SAMPOCHEM, we develop functional additive solutions that help producers solve practical challenges in real production environments. At PLMA 2026, our focus was especially on sodium-free and preservative-free shelf-life extenders for bakery, convenience foods, and meat applications.

We also discussed the reduction of process contaminants such as acrylamide and furan in food products, an increasingly important topic for private label manufacturers looking to improve product safety, quality, and long-term competitiveness.


PLMA was a valuable opportunity to better understand current private label market needs, exchange ideas with food manufacturers and retail partners, and explore how technical ingredient solutions can support modern private label product development.
